Mouse Head Found in Can of Green Beans Alexis Williams

Oklahoma couple Andrew and Chelsea Belfower went grocery shopping at their local grocery store Saturday before Easter. When preparing the Easter dinner they discovered a rodent in their can of green beans. They bought about 8 cans of Best choice Fancy Cut Green Beans. By the fourth can they noticed something fall into their crock pot and what they found was not at all what they expected. Andrew noticed it first and picked it up and threw it. It was the head and Leg of a mouse! The couple was afraid the rest of the rodent was floating around in another can of green beans. They filed a complaint at the grocery store and the manger took the rest of Best Choice Fancy Cut Green Beans off the shelf.
This connects with the Pure Food and Drug Act passed in 1906. This act prevented the sake, transportation, of misbranded, poisonous, and/or deleterious foods. I think it's completely disgusting that they found that in their food. This Food and Drug Act should protect us from that. However something must have gone wrong when this was being processed and such. I would sue.

  1. It is so scary to hear about these kinds of things because we should be able to be confident in what companies put in our stores.

  2. This is so gross. I think that it is reasonable to expect that our food be clean and safe to eat because that is what it is meant to do. Companies need to uphold high standards for the cleanliness of their facilities and the purity of their food to prevent situations like this from happening again.
