Summary: Racial inequality is affecting the presidential race very much so, as presented in this article. This is causing presidential candidates to cling to this topic. The nature of their expression of such thoughts, though, has resulted in comments such as "Black lives matter, but black manners do too." They have been quite forceful in their acts such as stripping scripted candidates off of podiums and threatening to derail planned events and other such things. The problem here is, well, they should expect to be held accountable for such actions.
Synthesis: This can be compared angry given to blacks in the 50s and 60s, urging for voting and civil rights. I personally think that the removing speakers from podiums is much less a big deal than things such as brutal treatment of blacks in shootings and beatings, for instance in Freedom Summer of 1964. Also, around this time of these events, Civil Rights was a big deal in elections, like the Election of 1960.
