Bombing in Ankara; Lauren Bush; 9th

On March 13, 2016, a bombing in Ankara killed 37 people and injured more than 125. The bombs were planted in a car parked on Atatürk Boulevard, where several bus stops were located. The attack targeted civilians. Several buildings, cars, and public busses were damaged as well. Turkish authorities restricted social media coverage of the attack. Events like these are very disheartening, considering how many innocent civilians were killed. Similarly to the bombing in Ankara, the Tet Offensive of 1968 put many civilian lives at risk.
