SUMMARY:
In a new and budding trial multiple women have stepped forward claiming that one man, a prison supervisor and guard, has raped each of them on multiple occasions. One woman has released her name in the hopes that others will step forward and show that they are not intimidated by this man.
ANALYSIS:
Although these women are inmates and have committed a crime, their sentencing did not include these awful acts. This makes me think of Dorothea Dix and how upset she would be if news of this hit her. Even though Ms. Dix mainly focused on the treatment of the mentally challenged and mistreatment of the disabled, I feel that her success and innovations in the justice system do not parallel what is happening here. I hope that this man is brought to justice and shown that even though these women did something wrong, they shouldn't be treated like this.
