Do it for the Selfie-Emily Eppig 8th

One of the less than 30,000 Franciscana dolphins left on the planet was senselessly killed by tourists after being pulled out of the water and passed around for selfies. After the baby dolphin had served its purpose, it was left on the beach to die. It died of dehydration because as most of the human population knows, dolphins live in the ocean. People became outraged after images and videos of people posing with the animal surfaced online. Although the spokesperson for the Argentine Wildlife Foundation was spoken out about this event, no charges will be pressed on any of the tourists (murderers).
Just because something isn't human doesn't mean that killing it isn't murder. Especially for such a frivolous and unnecessary purpose. Our social media revolving culture has gone too far yet again. Its moments like these when the reasonable humans can really assess the monster that our species has become. I think there should be consequences for these actions.
This event is similar to the many social inequalities that shaped the early 20th century and much like the progressive era, we should work out a means of never letting this happen again.
