4 Americans have been detained in the city of Bahrain. These people were said to have entered the country under false information stating that they were tourists. One has been identified and is a reporter. There are allegations that the four were involved in and have promoted attacks on the police. The U.S. has now called for all four of the prisoners to be released as well as any other reporters that have been arrested there as well.
This reminds me of a documentary I watched a while back on these doctors that were let into North Korea to help people with their eyes and brought cameras with them secretly. I think this is very similar because they were just curious people who were reporting about the county. I really hope they get back home safe and in a timely manner. I also think the report about them attacking police is just another sort of yellow papers to get more views.

ReplyDeleteI saw that documentary as well and I can't believe reporters are willing to risk their lives for a story but I guess that just shows the dedication they have towards their jobs
