Summary: Two local fisherman were found eight days after their boat was capsized and drifting. They were spotted by the Coast Guard 30 miles off of the Florida Coast. Both men, in their fifties, were severely dehydrated, vomiting, and near death. This was their "last ray of hope".

In this article, the author really puts out the situation and the problem right in your face so it will make you want to read more of it. The author uses a lot of logos and ethos in this article, but he carefully sublimely uses pathos, so every sentence that you read, it really makes you feel emotion. The tone that the author uses for this text is solemn and also informative. The author then begins to describe how the fisherman were found and how there condition was, it made the reader really want to process then information and make them feel relieved by how they were saved just in time.
