Patience Henderson 1st Period: Mom charged after 2 children found dead in Southern California hotel room

In Southern California, two children at the ages of 10 and 13 were found dead at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Santa Ana. Their mother Marilyn Edge apparently tried to commit suicide. Edge tried to ignite the car on fire by crashing her car into a Home Depot parking lot with propane gas inside the car. When the police arrived they found her with a cord around her neck, trying to strangle herself to death. After she was somewhat in a sane mindset she mentioned something about an incident at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Police did a safety check of the hotel to find a 10-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy dead. Police say that the room was registered under Marilyn Edge's name. It was clear what time the incident happened or how they died.

"It's upsetting to say the least. My goodness, if there's two children involved, that's just horrendous to say the least," Mike Ramey, who was staying at the hotel, told CNN affiliate KABC. "It's just a heartbreaker. As a parent, it's just a heartbreaker. It's unbelievable."

I think this is absolutely crazy. I don't understand how a mother could do this to her own child. Not only putting herself in danger but more so them. I am almost positive that she is the one that killed her children; making a reference towards where to find them. I find this mind blowing, it's crazy. Marilyn Edge needs to get what's coming to her, hopefully life in prison.
