On Sunday September 15th, there was a flooding in Colorado. The flooding washed away roads, bridges and have flooded many homes. There have been at least four people killed, and hundreds are unaccounted for, according to officials. "Within the communities, all of these people are helping one another out," deputy incident commander Chuck Russell told reporters in Larimer County. "They're being very resourceful." The United States army and Colorado and Wyoming National Guard have flown helicopters early Monday morning, trying to rescue as many as they possibly could. A National Guard Spokeswoman has said among those cut offs were fifteen Colorado National Guard members and other emergency workers who were stranded Sunday. On Sunday, more than 90 residents in Boulder County were rescued by Guard members. Many are needing rescue and have to wait. More than 600 people remain unaccounted for in Boulder and Larimer countries alone. More than 1,200 had been reported unaccounted statewide as of Sunday night.
There should be more helicopters and rescuers, to try to help these people starnded. We need to have more help, I think that it is ridiculous that some people are still starnded. More people need to help. How would you feel is your family was stranded by a flood? you would want to help them, so why cant we hurry up this process.

What a tragedy, I feel horrible for all the victims and their families. Efforts should be intensified to help those still suffering.

ReplyDeleteWow this is so sad. I saw pictures and videos of the floods on the news and all I said was wow because there was so much water that was flooding the cities. This is so incredibly heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet another flood...smh....I cant believe this.Whats odd is that I go to Colorado every year and somehow we manage to stay out of the forest fires and the floods....The people of Colorado will be in my prayers! Lets just be grateful that it wasn't as bad as Katrina...it couldve been worse
