Khelsey Gamble US Strike on Syria

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-23925037

I have been following the whole Syria and US conflict for a while now. I came across this article which was interesting to read. The article is about what consequences America could face if Obama does decide to attack Syria. On August 21, the Syrian government used chemical weapons against its own people and killed over 1,000 people, including 426 children. NATO had an agreement not to use chemical weapons, so now that Syria is using it, America feels the need to step in and defend Syrians. Britain and France are both allies to America, so will they go to war with us? If America does go over and intervene with the Middle East once again, will this fuel more hatred for America in that region? We will have to wait until next week to see if congress approves the attacks.

I personally hope congress does not approve the attacks. I understand Syria is in NATO and using chemical weapons is against the rules, but that's their problem. America has too many other problems to worry about. The government in Syria is killing innocent people, what is the point of America going over there and killing even more innocent people? The Syrian government should be absolutely ashamed of themselves, and they need to realize they killed children, they need to realize they are disgusting excuses for people. America needs to stay out of civil wars, we need to maybe donate to relief funds that don't use military force to help these people, but we shouldn't support war. The last thing America needs to do is bully even more countries. While I hope Syrians fix their problem, I think they should do it by themselves. One minute people are upset at Americans  for being in foreign affairs, the next they want us to come help and intervene. America needs to stay put, Syrians need to get their stuff together, and we need some peace without destruction.

  1. I do not understand why America feels the need to baby all the other countries that need political or economic help. Yes, we have more advanced weapons that can eventually help in war, but we don't want it to eventually turn into war. I agree with you, if we intervene in the Middle East any more, they won't like us any more than they already do.
