Thousands Left Orphaned From The Ebola Epidemic - Elizabeth Walker p.3

The United States has been a bit on edge since the whole Ebola Crisis of 2014 but the thing that the American Population fails to realizes is the actual struggle of ebola in countries that aren't as fortunate as ours. In africa there are thousands of children orphaned by the ebola epidemic, and by orphaned i mean every member of their family, close or extended family has been wiped out by this  deadly disease. The sad part about this is that there is no way to stop these amounts of death. These parts of Africa don't have the money or the resources to keep their people healthy and protected. The children are now the only ones left and they only have their fellow orphans to understand the pain.

This relates back to history when the Bubonic plague swept the nation and killed 1/3 of the population. It also relates to how the europeans brought small pox and other diseases to the native americans, People who had been in Africa, around the ebola virus, came back to the United states and began to infect others.
