Eric Garner, Another Case in Police Brutality - Sophie Potrykus 2nd

On July, 17, 2014, Eric Garner was caught in a chokehold by a policeman and killed. This incident was videotaped by a bystander and released soon afterwards, on December 3rd, a grand jury decided not to indict the officer who had strangled him.
In this video, Garner is seen arguing with the police about the accusation of him allegedly selling illegal cigarettes. Right after, the officer is then seen grabbing him from behind and putting him in a chokehold, which causes him to fall to the ground. Garner then repeatedly calls out, 11 times to be exact, the phrase "I can't breathe" before dying at the hands of Officer Pantaleo.
The fact that the jury has yet again chosen not to indict the officer who is obviously in the wrong is incredibly disturbing. We have seen this many times before, and the lack of justice is hard to watch. Police are recognizing how much power they hold and are using it to their advantage. President Obama is now saying he plans on putting video cameras on policeman's vests in order to track their actions, but we already have video evidence of an officer murdering a man on the street and no one did anything about that. Does he honestly think those are going to help any? Police need to have stricter rules and boundaries set, people are now incredibly angry and are making their voices heard as we speak .
