DISD Nurse Contracts Ebola -Hadassah Lai

DISD nurse Nina Pham contracted Ebola from treating a patient who had it. Authorities are still trying to figure out how she contracted the disease, she is the first person to contract Ebola in the United States. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Protection, said he felt awful that a worker had contracted Ebola while treating another patient. 

This is like the incident that America had centuries ago, when Europeans brought measles over to the United States. It wiped out thousands of people, the majority were Native Americans. Let's hope that the Ebola virus will not wipe out thousands of people, and that we can find a cure quickly or find a way to prevent it.
