"Lava Flow Threatens Small Town in Hawaii" Julian Smith

Lava Flowing from the  Kilauea volcano in Hawaii is threading the small town of Pahoa.  The Lava is moving at about 10 to 15 yards per hour and was last reported 100 yards from the closest home. Videos shot have shown Lava consuming fields, a fence, and a cemetery. The Lava is a problem its self but also the smoke is very hazardous. People are advised to stay inside because the smoke is already so heavy. Most people have already evacuated the town, hawaii  county civil defense says there are only a few people left in town. As of now the volcano is still erupting.
Well this just sounds like a problem with no real solution. obviously we can't plug up a volcano and its not like we can cool down the lava or stop it. The people seem to be doing the only thing they can which is evacuate and hope their homes are destroyed. I hope for the best for the village of Pahoa.
