Life Taking Texter in Washington -Myles Bennett

A student in Washington texted his friends, telling them to meet him at a certain lunch table that day. Little did they know, Jaylen Fryberg brought a gun to school to shoot his friends because they had sided (he thought) with his ex girlfriend in a recent breakup. The freshman opened fire on the lunch table before turning the gun on himself.

Analysis: This could go along with the second amendment- the right to bare arms. If you have children or young adults in the house, you may want to take precautionary measures and lock up the gun in a place where they can't get to it. Kids can be very emotional, especially at this age with the hormones and new relationships beginning and the stress, some kids may try to take drastic measures and it would be the best idea to play it on the safe side and keep guns out of children's reach.

  1. Ohmygosh! That is terrible! I can only imagine what the students' parents are thinking. This is such an unfortunate turn of events. Taking someone's life is never ok.

  2. I wonder what could have prompted him to take another persons life including his own? It is very sad to think about, but it is also important to look into how he got the gun and why he decided to use it. This just shows that nothing good ever comes from guns.
