Ugly murder caused by a small mistake? Sad but true.

I'm sure we all know about the racial lynching that was done by white Americans towards black Americans back in the day. Lynching really is an inhumane and nasty way to die. Recently, in the small town of Aluu, Nigeria, a couple of boys were beaten and killed because a group of people thought the boys were "robbers". These boys weren't robbers, their real reason to be in Aluu was because one of the boys, Ugonna Obuzor, was wanting to collect a debt that was owed by a person in the town. A rumor of them being robbers spread and the people of Aluu just won't stand for robbers to be in their city, so they took the boys, stripped them naked, beat them, put tires around their necks then poured gasoline on them and lit 'em on fire. The mother of Ugonna of course wants justice for her son and the other boy's death. Especially since in the recording of the lynching there's a police officer who seemed to be encouraging and participating in this.

I know about lynchings done here in America, but never gave much thought to other countries. All murder is bad, but to think that this was done over a small misunderstanding, just makes me want to cry. The group of people didn't even catch the boys doing anything wrong, they just heard about them being robbers so "Hey? Why not kill 'em before they do anything? Right?" Uuuuh. No. After seeing the video on the CNN website, I can honestly say that no one deserves what happened to them. I believe in the death penalty, but this isn't anyway to take care of delinquents.
