The article that i chose is about employees in the googe offices around the world that staged a walkout on thursday to protest the company's handling of senior executives accused of sexual misconduct. It was scheduled to begin 11:10 for each office. It was a response to the report of The New York Times last week that found two senior Google executives had been paid ten millions of dollars in exit packages despite being accused of sexual misconduct. They walked to Hudson River park carrying signs, pointing to the company's payouts and still wearing their google employee badges and gear. They also read aloud reports of discrimination and harrasment of their workplaces.

This is such an interesting event that has happened. Most people could really view this as either a good thing or a bad thing. I think it's really important that they are speaing their voices on what they believe in. It was a pretty big thing that happened and with the weather, some people were being held inside, but it is pretty remarkable. This relates to U.S History because of the first protest that took place on March 6, 1968. Students proteste because they were concerned with the quality of their education. This movement was the first mass mobilizations by Mexican-Americans in Southern California.
