Man Shoots Six at a Florida Yoga Studio- Gracie Zytynski

On Friday evening a man walked into a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida, shooting six people. As a result of the shooting, two passed away and the gunman killed himself. Later on Saturday, the Tallahassee Police Department identified the gunman as Scott Paul Beierle, 40. They also identified the 2 that were killed and they were Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21. Three of the injured victims had been released from the hospital Saturday morning and the other two were in stable condition. Now, the police are seeking the gunman's motive.

Written on November 2 by Jacey Fortin with the New York Times, the article informs the audience of another shooting that has occurred in our country. Prior to reading this article, I had read about several shootings across America in the last few weeks. This current event relates to the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment states we have the right to bear arms. The righto to own a gun first began in 1791 to allow the colonist to protect themselves.  Today dangerous people use the "right to bear arms" as an opportunity to harm others in which they disagree.  The article is important because it informs us the issue of increased gun violence and the fact that people misuse the rights they are freely given.
