Voters living abroad have requested a record number of ballots this for the midterms, which end up seeming nearly invisible for them. Now, visits to the overseas voting website have increased to 2500 percent, according to the article. This provides an example of what a huge effect a bit of motivation does to the outcome of an election. This can be connected back to the 2016 election, where due to people having a low voter turnout Clinton won the popular vote, while Trump won the electoral vote, which only had occurred once in US history. However, more motivation would have led a larger majority of voters to have chosen clinton. Now, these overseas voters will have more agency together, to choose their local governments.
