Between Labor day and Election Day , national new outlets and talking heads routinely become concern of how the emerging Latino vote  will affect the outcome ; as Latino voters are majorly forgotten by the media and political entries alike. In 2016 Latino voters grew from 8.4% to 9.2% , overall it did drop from 2012 by less than half a point. The Latino community make up a bigger slice  of the electoral pie, and mostly vote Democratic. In the 2016 election 79% of Latinos voted for Hillary . Even more impressive , 86% of voting Latinas voted for her.  Someone that runs a political entity needs to engage Latino voters and have zero Latino staffers . ''If Latinos don't vote, it is hard to feel sorry for the consequences affecting them. They should realize that and who their friends are. Please emphasize to these folks that if they don't vote they will be further worse . And if they don't vote; don't complain''. -CNN . Translating ads into Spanish in the closing days of an election has never been enough, and never less so than today.

I been concerned about the fact that mostly Latino people don't go and vote and decide to stay home on election day , yet I'm concerned that some might not even be citizens or not able to vote for other reasons. This has brought controversy since the 2016 election after Trump's win . The results where that some Latino people voted for Trump yet the majority voted for Hillary . This article was written mostly for the Latino community to encourage them to vote . As a Latina myself I've heard some Latino people think that their vote won't count because they're minorities but if they have the opportunity to vote they should and make their vote count. This was all based on the author's opinion , he wants to persuade Latino people to not hesitate and vote for their own rights. This article is important because it shows how important elections are and it shows the importance of our first amendment.
