The Foreign Minister from Saudi Arabia said that the killing of journalist, who had, in the past, heavily critiqued the Saudi Royal family, was a "tremendous mistake". Officials are now claiming, after having stated that Khashoggi left through the back door of the meeting in Turkey, that "rouge operators" killed the journalist. President Trump is now, while still praising the Royal Family, has called the investigation "all over the place".
Throughout history, presidents have looked past human rights issues to continue trade with Saudi Arabia, since Richard Nixon's presidency. But is this one step too far?
