Jamal Khashoggi's Death: Who Do We Believe? | Daniella Castanheira

The Saudi Arabian government announced on Friday that Khashoggi's death was caused by a fistfight, and that 18 Saudis have been arrested for a further investigation. When Donald Trump was questioned on whether or not he believed it, he expressed his confidence in the explanation. However, many other people are skeptical over the validity of the statement, claiming that the story has shifted too much over the past days to hold any weight. Lawmakers are asking that an investigation be held by a credible source and for the United States be involved. All agree that Trump must stand up and push for a thorough investigation concerning Khashoggi's death. 

This article was written 18 days after Khashoggi's death, showing that Americans, and the world, are not going to sit back and let the incident be covered up. This is much like JFK's assassination, which is another inauspicious death that led Americans into a truth frenzy. This article is hoping to lead people into questing after the facts instead of settling into a bovine state of complacency. Hopefully, light is shed on what really happened and measures are put into place to make sure another death, and its cover up, can never happen again.
