Haley Bogdon - Virginia Man Beaten To Death Trying To Help A Stranger

This article is about a man who beat to death a good samaritan who was trying to stop a woman from being sexually assaulted.  Patricio Salazar, a 54 year old man was killed by 27 year old Michael Nash.  Nash was seen physically and sexually assaulting a woman in front of Salazar and he tried to step in and help the woman out.  A witness heard the woman screaming and when he walked over, he say her in a ball without clothing and screaming.  The witness saw Salazar laying on the ground with blood all over his face and he said that he was in a lot of pain and the back of his head hurt.  He later died after arriving at the hospital.  The witness told Salazar over and over that he was a hero for stepping in to help.  A GoFundMe page was created by the witness to raise money for Salazar's family and nearly $5,700 of the $10,000 goal was raised that night. 

This article saddens me and I feel that it just shows the state of the world today and how senseless acts of violence happen for no apparent reason.  I feel that the writer gave the facts, but also brought in some emotion to the writing when it was mentioned that the witness let Salazar know he was a hero and is trying to raise money for his family.  I hope that people will not hear about this story and not want to help out people in need in the future.  Hopefully Nash will spend the rest of his life in prison for these violent acts that he committed.
