Judge Rosemarie Aquilina sentenced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar up to 175 years in prison for sexually abusing more than 150 women over the past two decades.
"I've just signed your death warrant," Judge Aquilina said. "I find that you don't get it, that you're a danger. That you remain a danger."
Nassar worked with the U.S. Olympic team and Michigan State gymnasts for nearly 20 years and abused them under the guise that he was treating them for sports injuries.
My hot take: I'm not sure Larry Nassar should get Capital Punishment or a long, horrible life in solitary, but I'm very pleased with Judge Aquilina. She had all 158 women share their individual stories in court while Nassar sat, looking very similar to a hairless rat. He still denies these testimonies and shook his head during. every. single. one.
- But it's fine, because that led to his lengthy sentence.
If it were up to me, salt would be poured in the wounds of Larry Nassar- his fingers slowly burned off, and castrated with rusty needles.
Alas, we live within the bleeding hearts of the United States, so a death warrant will have to do.

ReplyDeleteI remember when I first read this article and heard that Larry Nassar was going to spend he rest of his life in prison. I was just so happy that the Metoo movement was making a difference. I have no potty for Larry, I honestly don’t know what could happen to somebody to make them think that hurting not women, but girls was okay.
I am pleased with how this judge handled this case. I hope many can take note from her.
