planets outside the milky way
newly discovered planets, four billion light-years away were discovered by Eddie Guerras and his team through gravitational lensing. we have already known for many years that other galaxies existed beside our own but Guerras and his team had discovered planets within this galaxies thought to be between the size of the moon and Jupiter. however, since they are so far away, it is less likely that we'll be able to see them any time soon.
This is interesting especially considering how logical it is that there is other life within this universe. hopefully not that far though cause honestly, that'd be pretty disappointing, but it may play out with that whole star wars thing of a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. idk generally I thought this article/interview was interesting because of the already given known hypothesis of planets being in other galaxies but actually discovering them is neat.
