Trumps administration’s moral agenda is to the allocation of $75 million so the Health and Human Services department can find abstinence-only “and personal responsibility” sex-education programs. And that could have harmful repercussions for students across the country. Trump’s 2018 budget proposal called to “extend abstinence education.” Abstinence-only-until marriage programs (AOUMs), which heavily focuses on “family values,” teach young people that the only corrected moral path is delaying having sex until they’re married. Abstinence-only advocates argue that comprehensive sex education can meet “promiscuity.” But research has found that main issue with teaching students only about abstinence is that it does not stop them from having sex, if anything they just engage in unsafe and unhealthy practices.
I think it’s a bit hypocritical for Trump to push abstinence-only sex education on today’s society especially considering that I’m sure Trump did not engage in an abstinence only lifestyle. You can’t expect all teenagers to abide by a sexless life until marriage especially because teens are at a more hormonal state in their life. You aren’t preparing teenagers for the repercussions of their actions or how they could have been safe in the first place.

Isn't there a saying about how if one tells someone they can't they do this than they just want to do it more? And then they proceed to engage in unsafe sex and the accidental pregnancy rates go up in our country.....
