Jack Boreham- Las Vegas Mass Shooting
This past weekend at a country music festival a shooter by the name of Stephen Paddock fired into the crowd killing 59 people and that number could rise. The motive for this massacre still leaves police confused, because Paddock have no criminal record other than his father who was on the FBI's top 10 most wanted in the 60's for armed robbery. ISIS tried to claim the attack saying "Paddock converted to islam", but there is no evidence for this as well as that Paddock wasn't on any watchlist. People are already sparking debates about gun control and islamic terror. I personally think it is sick that people are using this tragedy to push their political agenda so soon after the attack. People are trying to state that this vile act was caused, because he was a white supremacist even though his brother said he wasn't tied to any religious or political movement.

This is so sad. I hope this prompts America to strictly enforce gun regulation. This man shouldn’t have had 10 guns and kill 50 people. We need to do better as a country. So so sad.
ReplyDeleteWhile I want to believe gun control could have solved this, I can't help but ask myself, "When have criminals ever followed gun laws?" Just because security checks and extra precautions are put in place, doesn't guarantee that criminals with terrible intentions will be stopped.
