North Korean official on Trump comments: 'Totally absurd and illogical'-- Demi Tomasides

This article follows an exclusive and rare interview with North Korean official, Ri Jong Ryul. He responded (although "not officially") to Donald Trumps remarks saying that Japan and South Korea should arm themselves with nuclear weapons since their so afraid of North Korea's nuclear progam. He said that Trump's remarks were "totally absurd and illogical" and that it's a "double standard" to ask North Korea to give up their nuclear program, but to encourage Japan and South Korea to build one.

This doesn't happen too often but I think most people are going to have to agree with Ri, although maybe for different reasons. I believe that anybody even considering running for president should have a thorough knowledge of history and unless Donald Trump thought that the escalation of the arms race with the Soviet Union during the Cold War was a good thing... I'm kind of thinking he slept through the majority of his APUSH class. I mean we were on the brink of a full out nuclear war, which could have very likely whipped out the majority of the human population. Feeding this nuclear build up is an awful idea. We need to avoid another situation like the one in the 50s and 60s at all costs. It's not good that Trump's voice is at the front of a foreign policy that's not even his.

  1. It's pretty bad when a North Korean official says that your ideas are "totally absurd and illogical". The way I see it, any candidates for future president shouldn't encourage the escalation of war. Although I believe they should have a reasonable amount of defensive weaponry you shouldn't encourage them to prepare for war when there is still something you can do to prevent it, it's as though Trump has made up his mind that there WILL be a war with North Korea, whether we like it or not. I think the better way to go is to talk with North Korea and try to convince them to reduce the production of nuclear weapons.
