Recently, a study has been conducted by the Journal of Development and Behavioral Pediatrics to see if kids who have same-sex parents are any different from kids who have opposite-sex parents. The study concluded that children with same-sex parents are exactly the same as kids with opposite-sex parents, emotionally and physically. Dr. Nanette Gartrell said that the purpose of this study was to do a real population based "apples to apples" comparison, taking kids from steady households of both types of parents. This is better than previous studies, which recruit just same-sex parent families and create a selection bias. The study compared 95 same-sex female parent house holds with 95 different-sex parent house holds on the basis of parents' age, level of education, origin of birth, residence, child's age, race, gender, and origin of birth. The study found that there were NO differences in the general health, emotional behaviors, learning behaviors, or coping behaviors in the children.
To me, the results of this study are a relief. Kids with same-sex parents are sometimes bullied and made fun of in school and it is good to know that that does not make them ashamed of their parents. Love is love, whether it be opposite sex or same sex, and same-sex parents care for their children just like opposite-sex parents do. Sometimes, probably even more. A child not should be treated differently just because their parents are a little bit different than the "normal". Just like black people were discriminated against because of their skin color and where they came from, kids with same-sex parents are also. But in reality, black people are the same on the inside as white white people, just as these kids are.

I agree with your analysis- I'm glad kids of same sex parents weren't shown to be bullied. And I figured the outcome of this study would be like this, but it's a relief to be sure.
