The idea of a uterus transplant surgery became a reality for a 26 year old Texas native who was born without a uterus and had hoped to one day give birth. If this experimental surgery is successful, It can be performed on thousands of women worldwide who suffer the same issue but still hope to conceive. Medical advancements such as this are what keep the health of our country afloat. Without the technology and knowledge that we have now, we might still be stuck in times of plague or medieval bloodletting.
This advancement is similar to the successes of finding a cure for polio. Without the research and tests it took to cure that illness, it might still be killing thousands.
I think incredible advancements such as this are extremely valuable to the sustainability and success of the human race.
