Women secretly film their life under ISIS rule
Adrianna Martinez

In the northern Syrian city of Raqqa two women secretly film their life under ISIS rule. If they are caught the women face execution. In the video it shows a deserted city, the women say everyone has left due to intensified airstrikes against the city. The deserted city shows the danger and fear that has been created due to the civil war in Syria. The war has killed 250,000 people and displaced more than 10 million people according to the United Nations. The civil war in Syria is a serious problem because ISIS fighters have committed gruesome public executions and the public is in fear. ISIS has created strict Islamic laws forcing women to cover their faces and they have lost many of their rights.

  1. This continues to be a horrific situation. Those women are some of the most courageous I've ever heard about. What they're doing is incredible. I hope their bravery pays off in the long run and I think, since we're talking about it here, it has already started too.

  2. I'm glad that these women tried to take a stand against ISIS by filming their life in ISIS. Unfortunately, it is really sad to see how much ISIS has effected millions of people's life.
