Julian Randall_pd.5/Seattle Seahawks cause earthquake

Summary: The Seattle Seahawks have been known to be a relatively rowdy bunch of folk, especially when it comes to football. In fact, yesterday night according to CNN, the Seattle Seahawk fans made so much noise they made the Guinness World Record for noise at an outdoor stadium. However, that was in September. More importantly, Monday night (yesterday night) they were reportedly so loud and rambunctious they nearly caused an earthquake in Century Link field about a block away from the stadium. It was about a 1-2 range magnitude of one, according to a professor at the University of Washington. They have also done this in other recent years. In total, the Seattle Seahawks have done this about 5 times, astonishingly. But out of all of them, the most intense was around the first quarter of the came. Although other teams have done this as well, I think its pretty safe to say Seattle has definitely taken the cake.

Analysis: The article was created by Justin Lear and Ed Payne. It was created at 9:47AM, December 3, 2013, making it attracting to the reader to it due to its sense of relevance. I had no previous knowledge on the article, thus it has no effect on my understanding of it. However, I think it was geared pretty much towards a general audience. It also sent a relatively positive, funny, yet careful message, varying the influence it could have on the reader. Overall, I think the main point in the article could vary from simply a fun fact to drawing awareness to Seattle or simply all sport teams in stadiums to take it down a notch.
