I
read the article, Siracha: First, The
Crisis. Now, The Movie. By Maria Godoy. This article looks at the recent
issue that arose as a California Siracha factory (the popular Asian chili
sauce) had to stop production partially.
Now a film simply entitled, “Sriracha” has made it’s online debut
telling the story of the company’s founder, a Vietnamese refugee and the
history of the condiment. It’s interesting how the story of a sauce can
represent so much.
I’m curious to
watch the film. I am a fan of Sriracha and learning its story would be
interesting. This story has been unique and has been the talk of news providers
for the past weeks, however a response in the form of a film surprised me.
Watch it and tell what you think!
