A passenger on an airplane was sleeping, and woke up to find himself completely alone on a dark plane. Not panicking, he called his sister to explain that he had been locked on a vacant plane. His sister, who thought he was joking at first, laughed and couldn't believe it. However, she eventually called the Airline. When workers came back onto the plane, they wanted the man to show his badge, even though he had repeatedly said that he had been a passenger. The Airline is still trying to understand how this passenger could have been missed sleeping when the plane was cleared.
I find it very interesting that the workers just happened to miss this guy. A person, especially a grown man, is not something all of that hard to miss. He wasn't in danger in any way, but it is understandable why most people would freak out being on an abandoned plane by themselves, in the dark. However, despite all of this, the man stayed calm, and is not looking to sue or hurt the Airline. He handled it very well, and he was very relaxed about everything.

Comment by Rhyann Lee 5th period. I did my current event on this too! I kind of find it funny that they didn't see a grown man sleep. Maybe they just didn't want to wake him
ReplyDeleteThat is actually very scary. What f the plane had taken off again while he was still asleep? What if that was the plane's last stop of the day? Would the man have just been stuck there all night? Hopefully the flight attendants will make sure everyone is off the plane now because I'm sure that man was very frightened - Lauren Hamm 2nd period
ReplyDeleteWoah...okay don't they clean the whole plane before they left? Why didn't the other passengers wake him up? This is kind of funny and strange to me.
ReplyDeleteI think this shows how oblivious some people are, as well as how inconsiderate and unwilling some people are to help others. He most likely was sitting next to someone, and someone had to have seen that he was still asleep by the time people were getting off the plane.
