US Intelligence Agencies Monitor Computer Games Too - Lizy Rutherford, 4th pd

Now WoW isn't safe. Edward Snowden, former NSA contractor, released more information about where else other US intelligence agencies spy: on RPGs. Agents will create a fake avatar and use that to collect data about possible illegal plans via voice and text chat with other players. These include child pornography and human trafficking. They also use them for financial transactions and secret messages. This practice is apparently used by British intelligence agencies, too.

This just makes me want to laugh. Really, NSA? RPGs like World of Warcraft? That's where terrorists come together? I'm sure in all seriousness that RPGS are used for those type of things, since they make a good cover. However, it does seem ridiculous for our intelligence agencies to be playing games instead of staking out more serious places.
