Trump goes through extensive lengths to coneal what him and Putin talk about behind closed doors - Faith Stevens

Trump appears to go to extreme lengths to cover conversations with Russian dictator Putin, leading to suspicion that he is working for Putin. Every time they meet, the country hears nothing about what they speak of. They have met 5 times during Trumps presidency, and very few people are aware of what goes on behind closed doors. After being asked if he had ever worked 'on behalf of Russia', Trump reportedly avoided and did not answer the question fully by saying "I think it’s the most insulting thing I’ve ever been asked."

To me, I find this very outrageous that Trump has the audacity to converse with Putin, and not report to the country. I agree with the article, it is very strange behavior for a president to have those sort of communications and not be public about it. I am very happy, however, that with a new democratic house, we can expect new interrogations performed by those members of Trumps recent conversations. It may no seem like a big deal, but it also shouldn't be that big of a deal to tell the country you are representing what is going on behind closed doors- unless you've got something to hide.

I can see how this relates to the gilded age in the fact that everything seems alright on the surface, but the longer you look the more yo8u see everything wrong with it. Not only is Trump handicapping the government, but he is also allowing Putin to manipulate him further in his presidency. It is very strange to be open about what's going on with other world leaders, but to be very hush-hush about one of the worlds most well-known dictators.

All in all, the situation is sketchy. What are they talking about? Why does Trump feel the need to hide it? Why be outlandishly open about everything else but quiet about this? We can only hope for more, realistic and non-vague answers in the future.
