Trains in Mexico Blocked Due to Ongoing Teacher Protests
Trains delivering absolute plethoras of grain and various other necessities continue to be blocked from reaching their destination due to sit in teachers protesting on account of labor issues plaguing the country’s educators. The blockade has stopped a fortune of foodstuffs and building supplies from reaching their intended stations, causing a rise in prices and costs for the region affected by these protests.
This story was reported by Reuters, a source I have much prior usage of and one whom provided unbiased and appropriate information regarding almost any particular event. This particular event, is a difficult one to unpack, however, as I support greatly the message of teachers for increased labor benefits, as their plight is one that goes heavily under the radar. It becomes a tricky situation, however, when their message is clouded by the missing shipments of food arriving on people’s plates.
This story reminds me, personally, of the great railroad the protests, in which those workers were also encouraging greater rights for themselves as laborers, much like what these teachers are doing. What that story can tell us about this modern day event, is that this protest will most likely not go over without a hitch, and will reach a concession, or will reach a boiling point with unforeseen consequences that only God knows.
