Global Warming’s effects of Greenland-Sophie Knox
Summary: Since 2002, Greenland’s ice loss has accelerated more rapidly than scientists had once thought. Many scientists were focused on the northwest or southeast regions, but most of the loss occurred in the southwest part of the island a part of the island never lost much ice prior. Greenland has lost 280 billion tons of ice per year since 2002. The North Atlantic Oscillation (a natural irregular change in atmospheric pressure which results in warm climate) along with Global Warming has been the cause of the rapid ice loss. Without helping to stop global warming fast, Greenland could melt, rising the sea levels over 23 feet.
Analysis: This article relates to the Gilded Age because major industrialization happened in that era which resulted in the widespread use of fossils fules that caused Global warming. I think this was a well written article which perfectly shows the dangers of not caring for this earth. Any type of article related to global warming is going to be biased one way or the other; in this one, the author believes in global warming. It’s audience is for any one who believes in global warming to warn them, and for non believers to try to show evidence that it exists.

This is insane. I still cannot believe that people do not believe that this is really happening to our planet.
