Zander Pryor-5 killed in Lousiana
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/davidmack/louisiana-shooting-spree-parents
Dakota Theriot is suspected shot and killed five people this week: his mother, his father and three family friends in his home in Lousiana. He is currently on the run and his location is unknown. His parents were lucid enough to identify him as their attacker but later died in the hospital from their injuries.
This story is sickening and brings to light a tragic waste of human life. Its also unnerving, knowing he's still out there and likely armed and dangerous. The sheriff of the town even remarked that this incident is one of the worst and most brutal domestic attacks in recent memory. The sensalization of this story reminds me a lot of yellow journalism typical of the gilded the age. The fear that this article stokes and spreads and the dramatic subject matter are both reminiscent to me of yellow journalism.
