Wall Street Journal: Trump Skeptical border deal can be made- Nik Puri

Just days after the longest government shutdown in American history finally ended, our current president is threatening new problems. It's certainly clear that Donald Trump is committed to building a wall along the Mexican border after reporting that he would build the wall anyway with emergency powers if necessary. He even offered temporary protection for some undocumented immigrants in exchange for $5.7 billion to build the wall, but democrats were quick to reject that deal. The chances of reaching a new deal before the government shuts down again are less than 50%, but what's certain is that Trump is willing to do a tremendous amount in order to get that wall.

This article was published by Kate Sullivan on January 27 and was updated at 10:05 PM ET. The current date implies that the information provided in this article is accurate. Before I read this article, I didn't know much about what a government shutdown was capable of, but after reading this, it's quite clear that a government shutdown has devastating effects. This article was targeted towards the Democratic party and the American population for the purpose of letting them know that Trump is committed to building a wall. Finally, this article is important because it highlights the importance of getting along in the White House to make the right decisions for this country.
