Ellie Colwill - Dryuary’s just the start—you should drink less all winter long

Sumammary:  During the winter holidays, it’s common to drink while at parties and get togethers. Most of the time the reason why adults drink during winter is because is opens blood vessels and gives a feeling of warmth. On the downside there’s a seasonal affective disorder (or SAD) that is caused by accessively drinking over the winter season. Psychologists class SAD as a minor type depression. The theory behind SAD is that as the time of day shortens, the time changes disrupts our internal clocks and it comes with consequences like fatigue, moodiness, and social withdrawal.

This article reminded me of the temperance movement. When the American Temperance society worked with alcoholic men who were neglecting their children and abusing their wives because of their abuse of alcohol. I can also tie this article with the news on women worried about drunk driving now a days.
