Alex Carrington- Trump's Corruption in the Nation

Today, January 14, 2019, Philip Ewing wrote an article regarding an encounter that news reporters had with Trump last Monday. During this confrontation, Trump -once again- denied his attempts at concealing details about his relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I never worked for Russia," Trump vocalized his statements to reporters. "It's a disgrace that you even asked that question because it's a whole big fat hoax. It's just a hoax."
Many reports describe Trump’s attempt to limit access to his dealings with the Russian leader and the initially false explanation he gave about the meeting in June 2016 at which he hosted a Russian delegation that offered claims that could harm Hillary Clinton’s reputation.
These recent occurrences reflect a potent characteristic of the Gilded Age. Mark Twain’s “The Gilded Age”  reveals a portrait of post-Civil War America-an age of corruption when crooked and dishonest politicians fiercely took advantage of the nation’s citizens. Trump’s current status with the majority of the country proves his corrupt motives, as does the evidence that has piled up against him.
