Summary- The NFL partners with Amazon to stream Thursday Night Football games this upcoming season. Last year the NFL partnered with Twitter to stream games and at the time it was an experiment. Even though the viewership did not compare with TV broadcast it was still considered a success. During an average minute of viewing CBS and NFL network about 15.4 million people watched while only 243,000 watched on Twitter. The NFL decided to livestream football games to reach those viewers who use social media and value their mobility and those that may not have cable.
Analysis- This article was written by Ahiza Garcia and Frank Pallotta with CNN Tech to inform their readers of the new ways to watch NFL games. I think this will catch on because of so many are always on the run and now they can tune into the games wherever they are.
