It is said that the USS Michigan will be pulled into the South Korean port very shortly. This submarine will meet up with the USS Vinson aircraft carrier to rehearse. The commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet said it's simply a "routine deployment." The USS Michigan is on its way to the Indo-Asia-Pacific. Originally only able to launch nuclear missiles, the USS Michigan was remodeled to include Tomahawk cruise missiles. This new technology will hopefully help the U.S. citizens being held in North Korea. Their hope of freedom is slipping and we must help with the new technology and weaponry.
This is certainly not the first time North and South Korea have been in disagreement along with the U.S. supporting the south. During the Korean War, the country was split between north and south. The north was supported by the communist states such as the Soviet Union and China, while the south was supported by the democratic states such as the United States. It's very interesting to see the tensions that still remain initially from conflict decades ago.

This tension has been fueling for years. It truly is interesting to see it still remaining. It would be nice if someone could wave the white flag and drop it.
ReplyDeleteIf this is truly a "routine deployment", then I hope the North won't take it badly. I would be seriously worried for my safety if I was on that submarine.

I hope that North Korea doesnt get aggressive towards us over a routine deployment, and I wish there was a way to just have everyone find mediation in ways not involving warfare
