Mom Arrested After Facebook Video Of Toddler Taped to The Wall: Larissa Perez #1

Summary: Shayla Rudolph is an 18 year old who lives in Reynoldsburg, Ohio has been charged with abduction. She was charged with this because she restrained her two year old son to the wall with packaging tape for 15 minutes. Rudolph claimed that she needed to get work done around the house and so she decided to tape her son and posted it to Facebook live. In this video Rudolph says " You can't clean without them running around tearing up? Tape them to the wall." In addition to her saying this she says " You got the best mommy in the whole wide world,"because the her child could see the TV in the background even though he is crying in the background. Pretty soon child services came by and paid her a short visit. Shortly after the visit she posted another video saying "This time ya'll can take him."  Soon the police became involved and now the 2 year old son is in custody by Franklin County Children's Service.

Analysis: This article was published on January 23,2017 and published by Jay Croft.
I am aware of child abuse and incidents similar to this that have occurred. I think that it is horrible that this young mother treated her son. This also shows that she is not equipped to care for another person at her age and immature level. We can learn a lot from these videos to help us prevent occurrences like this in the future. Thankfully they were able to get to the boy who was taped up. It is also better that he is now in a safe environment and will have a chance at a good life. In this case Facebook Live was very helpful to react quickly to help this young boy. If not for Facebook live this could have had a very much different result.
