Townley Jordan: Oldest Woman in the World Dies at 117

Summary: Emma Morano, died at 117, the only person known to be left from the 1800s. From Italy, she was born on November 29, 1899. She held Guinness World Records for oldest living person and oldest living woman. "She joined our celebrated hall of fame with her amazing achievement when she was announced in 2016 as the oldest living female, and was officially confirmed as the last person to be born in the 1800s," Guinness World Records said in a statement on its website, saying they will announce a new oldest person after reviewing evidence. Morano said her long life was the result of ending her abusive marriage, and a diet of raw eggs and cookies. Despite her age, Morano had a childlike love of cookies, her doctor Carlo Bava said. So much so, she routinely hid them under her pillow so no one would eat them.
Analysis: This was published on CNN, a trusted news source. This is so impressive that a woman lived that long, I was not aware that people can live that long. I am curious who will be the new oldest person. You could synthesize this event to the death of Jeanne Calment, a 122 year old who holds the world record for longest life ever.
