Woman Killed in Kentucky Flood - Corsica Steding

Last weekend, a women was swept off of a highway and into a nearby creek.  She was driving when all of the sudden her tires lost traction.  Authorities in Lee County received a call about the accident that morning.  The caller reported that the car had submerged due to the heavy rains. Kentucky state police said, "as the floodwaters receded, the vehicle was found submerged in the creek."  They also reported that the woman had been missing for hours before she was finally found and that "the vehicle was recovered and a female was found inside and pronounced deceased by the Lee County Coroner."

Faith Karimi and Joe Sutton wrote this article for CNN on April 4th.  Before reading this article, I had not heard of the tragic event or dangerous weather in the Kentucky area.  This article was written to inform the public of the event and to warn people of the dangers of heavy rain/flooding and severe weather in general.  I sincerely hope that her family and friends are able to recover from this tragedy.
