Mother Charged With Child endagerment (Juliana Cortez Pd.3)

Over this past weekend a daycare worker in Cleveland, Ohio was charged with child endangerment after she dropped her two year old son in a cheetah enclosure at the zoo. The boy was dropped in the pin ending up alone with two 4 year old male cheetahs. Zoo officials say that the animals never thought to come up to the boy or the people who jumped in attempt to rescue the little boy. According to the statement from the Ohio Zoo, the boy wasn't injured in anyway shape or form, however according to the media the boy injured his leg. Once retrieved from the enclosure, the boy was sent off the hospital for examination on his leg. Witnesses say that all the mother was trying to do was give her son a better look at the animals by dangling him over the observation walls. The tragic situation shocked and horrified all who heard the screams of the boy who slipped out of his mother’s hands and fell several feet. “You just hear these screams, then all you could see is the adult that jumped in, got the child and then somebody pulled him out,” one witness told Fox8. “It was a heavier-set guy with the kid. They started screaming and that’s when they started blocking everybody off." The mother was found at fault by Zoo officials. The Zoo is still debating on whether they should go fourth with pressing charges against the mother of the 2 year old boy, the exhibition was closed for the remainder of the day.
