Alaska Airlines flight makes emergency landing; ramp agent found in cargo hold-Joe Katinas

An Alaska Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing today after its pilot reported hearing odd banging.

Flight 448, which had been bound for Los Angeles, came back to Seattle.

Upon landing, a ramp agent was discovered inside the front cargo hold, according to a statement from the airline. The agent, who is an employee of Menzies Aviation, told authorities he had fallen asleep, the statement said.

He appeared to be in okay condition. The cargo hold is temperature controlled and pressured. The plane was also only off the ground for 14 minutes, Alaska Airlines said.

The agent was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. An investigation is currently under way.

This article interests me. It seems like it's another case of something going wrong in the cockpit or another area of the plane in the middle of the flight. Luckily, this time no one was hurt. It reminds me of the plane that had to make an emergency landing in the Hudson River.
