Hillary Clinton is a woman who is running for President. This statement was surprising during the 2008 election, but now I am not surprised. She did not win the election in 2008, yet she did not stop trying. Hillary is very ambitious. This would be the second making of history if she wins the election. The first spark of history-making was when Barack Obama won, Now she will be the first female president. In history we have talked about how women have not had the same rights as men. Women could not vote and they were sort of type-cast as the housekeepers. All women were good for was having children and cleaning up behind everyone. There were many movements for women's rights in the 20th century, and they were fulfilled with the 19th amendment. We all know that even after a change is made, there will still be that period of adjustment. Now, Hillary is stepping forward as the first female and democratic candidate in this 2016 presidential race.

Whether or not you agree that she is a worthy candidate for presidency, you have to admit that it is pretty cool that there is a chance we will FINALLY have a woman president.
ReplyDeleteI think that she is experienced and is well cut for the job. She was the first lady, part of the Senate, and Secretary of State. If anything, this girl has got all the others overshadowed. -Destiny Ramirez
